Counseling Corner
Welcome to Valley Christian's Counseling Corner!
Valley Christian prepares it's students for their future education needs. Students meet the Common Core Standards for college entry through the course of study provided at VCS. Each student has the opportunity to individualized guidance. We provide informative parent meetings on college and financial aid options. Seniors at VCS are required to take Senior Seminar, which prepares them for the future including; filling out college applications, requesting recommendations, job applications, resumes, essay writing, personality testing and interviewing practice.
All students in grades 7-12 have an online college/career portfolio through the Kuder program where students can research careers, view colleges, write resumes, fill out job applications and much more. This portfolio is theirs for life and can be added to during their college years and beyond.
College representatives are frequent visitors at our campus who share with our students different aspects of their colleges. These visits enlighten our students about what colleges are seeking in their applicants, their course studies available and activities on campus.
Mrs. Arnhold is available three days a week, M-W. Parents and students are always welcome. Mrs. Arnhold works diligently to make sure that every VCS student is represented in their best light for successful college admittance. Our students have been very successful in gaining admission to the colleges of their choice.
