Parent Teacher Fellowship-PTF

PURPOSE

To improve the relationship between VCS homes and the school, to enhance the fellowship between parents and teachers and to provide a support group to assist the staff, administration and board of Valley Christian School.

• To promote biblical unity (Romans 15:5) between VCS families and the school.
• To enhance the fellowship among parents and teachers
• To provide assistance and support for the staff, administration, Board of Valley Christian School.
• To provide physical, moral, financial and prayer support for the staff and school families associated with VCS
   

HOSPITALITY

Create an atmosphere of friendliness in the coordination of various school functions, i.e. open houses, family fellowship nights, welcoming new school families, welcoming new teachers and staff, organizing teacher appreciation activities and general promotion of Christian education.

PRAYER COMMITTEE

Coordinate parent prayer groups (Moms in Touch etc.) minister to school families and provide input for spiritual life in the school to the ASB and administrator.

HELPING HANDS

Establish ministry resources for outreach to VCS school staff and families struggling physically, spiritually, etc….examples may include care baskets, meals, emergency assistance for the month, clothing, etc.

BOOSTER CLUB/ FUNDRAISING

Organize a booster club to coordinate activities and fundraising that promote athletics at VCS and provide relief to staff and coaches in coordination of activities such as concessions, sports awards, etc. Additionally, raising funds for special projects and needs within the athletic programs not covered by the general budget.
